This is a TV movie slow in some spots but fun, pays homage to a lot of the classics.I do recommend checking it out if your in the need for a P.I. fix:)
This Girl for Hire
Set in 1940s Hollywood, this made-for-television comedy stars Bess Armstrong as B.T. Brady, a private eye hired by noted mystery novelist Harrison Wooly (José Ferrer) to safeguard his latest manuscript from a shadowy figure who slays the writer in an attempt to get it. Now Brady must solve the case before the killer discovers that she possesses the document. Celeste Holm and Howard Duff co-star in this film directed by Jerry Jameson.
